About the Stonewall Book Awards

Award winners and Honor Books from the Rainbow Round Table's Stonewall Book Awards list. Year is the award year the Round Table uses, announced each January. Categories: Literature (Barbara Gittings Literature Award), Poetry (Barbara Gittings Poetry Award, given separately in 2023 and 2025), Nonfiction (Israel Fishman Nonfiction Award) and Children's and Young Adult (Mike Morgan & Larry Romans Award, first given in 2010). The 2024 Literature & Poetry award was a single combined award and sits under Literature. Some years have two winners in a category. The 2021 page lists a Literature shortlist after the Honor Books; those are recorded as Shortlist. The 2012 annotated Picture of Dorian Gray was an Honor Book in both Literature and Nonfiction and appears once in each. Children's and Young Adult author fields name the writer, then the illustrator when credited.
