this came out of nigella lawson’s book, "how to be a domestic goddess." i swear i looked at the photo for it a million times since getting the book for christmas, and finally i decided to make it. i’m so glad i did! it was great. everyone loved it.
i did make a few changes; i used sweet yellow onions instead of red, and used way more gruyere than called for. if you are going to use gruyere, use it so you can taste it, please.
