Question by Michelle: how do books get nominated for a childs magazine best book of the year?
PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS THE LIGHTNING THIEF got this award. how did it get nominated? how do books get nominated for this particular award?

The books do not get nominated. Editors of the magazine will review and rate the books, and which ever book is over-the-top will be registered into the list of other high standard books. Nomination comes down at the end of the list.
